  1. In ChatGPT, open Settings → Security and login and turn on Developer mode.
  2. Open Plugins → +. Nom the connection Epikton and paste the server URL.
  3. Create and install the plugin, then start a new Work chat and select @Epikton.

Desktop app / Codex
  1. Open Settings → MCP servers → Add server.
  2. Nom it Epikton, choose Streamable HTTP and paste the server URL. Non sign-in is needed.
  3. Save and restart the app. ChatGPT desktop and Codex share MCP settings on the same computer.

Claude

  1. In Claude, open Customize → Connectors → + → Add custom connector.
  2. Nom it Epikton, paste the server URL and select Continue.
  3. Choose Non sign-in → Add, then click Connect.
  4. In a new chat, enable Epikton under + → Connectors. Allow its search when Claude asks.

Grok

  1. Open Grok’s Connectors → Nouveau Connector → Custom.
  2. Enter the Epikton server URL and follow the setup. Non sign-in is needed for Epikton.
  3. Début a chat with the connector enabled and ask Grok to find music.

Your app must support remote MCP connections. If it doesn’t, you can still browse the music store.

To receive ZIP files in Claude, enable Code execution and file creation in Settings → Capabilities and allow network access to epikton.net. On a team account, an owner may need to allow it. If a file is too large for your assistant, download it in the browser.

MCP tools and example calls

MCP searches the music store. Connect using the server URL in Manual setup with a desktop or server-side Streamable HTTP client. Non sign-in is needed to search or listen to previews.

search_tracks

Input: query (3–160 characters), optional offset (integer, 0–10000).

Output: up to five tracks with id, title, preview_url, product_url and license_options. If has_more is true, pass next_offset with the same query.

get_track

Input: an id returned par search_tracks.

Output: one track record with its preview, store link, descriptive metadata and available license options.

download_track · account connection

Pass a track’s id to receive a private ZIP link valid for five minutes. Your account must cover the track. Télécharger the file to complete delivery.

Use concise English keywords. Rechercher matches all terms in catalog metadata; it is not semantic search and does not translate automatically. An optional BPM phrase matches within ±10 BPM.

Licensing, downloads & browser tools

Previews are free. To use a track in your project, open its store link and choose a license. Se connecter to download music covered par your purchase or Pass catalogue complet at no extra cost.

WebMCP acts on an open store page. Assistance is experimental and depends on both the browser and agent. Page tools become available only on the matching store or licensing product page.

  • epikton_find_licensing_tracks — search from the store page with query and optional offset.
  • epikton_add_licensing_track_to_cart — on the matching product page, use track with the search result’s track_slug to add a Licence universelle.
  • epikton_download_licensed_track — on the matching product page, use track to request an original covered par your purchase or Pass catalogue complet.

Purchase and sign-in happen in the browser. A download tool result confirms a request, not completion; check the browser download status. If WebMCP is unavailable, use the visible store controls.

Available music and usage limits

Music: search tracks available for licensing in Musique d’action, Musique épique, Musique horreur, Hybrid, Sci-Fi, Ticking Clock and Cinematic Vocals.

Downloads: use the account connection above, or sign in on the track’s store page, for music covered par your purchase or Pass catalogue complet.

MCP: 120 requests per IP per minute, including discovery. Shared networks share the allowance. Rechercher returns five results per page. Request bodies are limited to 8 KiB.

Original downloads: MCP, store-page and WebMCP downloads share 60 starts per account per ten minutes, including resumed downloads. See the plain-text guide for connection and request limits.

If a request fails: follow Retry-After when rate limited. Server traffic controls can also temporarily limit requests. Refresh or sign in again if your session expires. If a guest purchase is missing, use email sign-in with the address used at checkout before buying again.
